Little Flower is accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
We offer a comprehensive curriculum that addresses the needs of students at all levels. Courses, designed to meet the particular needs of the individual student at the level of her ability, are offered at different levels of academic difficulty, ranging from an accelerated rate to basic academic high school level for students who need additional support. Advanced placement classes are available for the academically gifted.Minimum Graduation Requirements:
24 credits including English (4); theology (4); mathematics (3); science (3); social studies (3); physical education (.5); health (.5); and electives offered in all subject areas including fine arts, language, and/or business (6)
Elective Courses:
Additional courses available in theology, business, mathematics, science, and social studies; music, and art. Qualified students may study more than one world language.
- Diocesan Scholars Program: The Office of Catholic Education and local Catholic colleges and Universities sponsor the Diocesan Scholars program. Academically gifted juniors are invited to apply to take courses in senior year at local Catholic colleges free-of-charge.
- Dual Enrollment Program: The Dual Enrollment Program enables juniors and seniors in good standing to take college courses for free while attending Little Flower. Current Dual Enrollment opportunities are available through Little Flower/Holy Family University Partnership and the School District of Philadelphia/Community College of Philadelphia program.
- English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL): Little Flower has certified ELL teacher provided by Title 1 for students who need English language classes.
