Students at Little Flower can enroll in Advanced Placement (AP) courses sponsored by the Collegeboard. Those enrolled in AP courses take a Collegeboard written exam in May. Students who earn a score of 3 or higher on the exams may earn college credit. It is each student’s responsibility to check with individual colleges and universities to see what specific schools will accept.
Students must meet all prerequisites to enroll in an AP course. See the LF Coursebook for prerequisite information for each class. All students who are enrolled in an AP course at Little Flower are required to take the AP exam scheduled in May to fulfill the requirements of the AP course.
No course requested at the time of registration and rostered for September may be dropped. No period at which a class is assigned may be changed unless there is an imbalance in class size that such a change is needed. Students will not be able to drop/add courses for the school year of 2021-2022. Students will maintain their rosters for the remainder of the year.
The AP fee is $95 for each exam and can be paid in April. Students who qualify for a fee reduction will pay $53 for each exam.
In addition, AP Environmental Science is available via the Jesuit Virtual Learning Academy (JVLA). Classes offered via JVLA are included in the student’s roster for one class period each day. Students taking a class through JVLA pay an additional $370 for a full year class or $265 for a single-semester class.
