Alumna Ally McHugh Makes A Splash

Ally McHugh, Class of '15, was profiled in today's Philadelphia Inquirer as she prepares to take on the world as a member of Team USA at the 2019 FINA World Swimming Championships. Ally is the first and only Philadelphia Catholic League swimmer (current or alum) to represent our country at this meet, the most prestigious aside from the Olympics. Good luck Ally!!

Ally is s member of the US Women's National Team for Swimming as well as an NCAA National Champion (1650yd Free) and the reigning USA Swimming National Champion in the 400m Individual Medley. Ally will be representing the USA in the 400m Individual Medley event. Info on the world championships can be found at

During her time at LF, Ally was a 16 time PCL All Catholic, a four time PIAA State Championships qualifier, a three time PIAA All State Team member, and led LF to its first ever PCL and PIAA District 12 AAA Championships.
