Physical Education/Health Education
Physical Education and Health classes are offered to students in their sophomore year.
Our Physical Education program stresses physical fitness, skill performance, sportsmanship, individual and team play. Our goal is for students to ultimately assess their personal level of fitness for a healthier and happier life. Our coursework provides opportunities for leadership, fellowship and cooperation. Our students participate in fitness training, soccer, volleyball, floor hockey, basketball, badminton, pickle ball, dance and rhythmic gymnastics. Our Health program assists students in making sound value judgements for promoting and maintaining optimal health. We teach about mental and emotional health, the reproductive system, sexually transmitted diseases, alcohol, tobacco and drug education. Students also learn first aid and CPR.
Through the generosity of our alumnae, all students have access to our state-of-the-art fitness room.
