Little Flower is proud to be the first all-girls school in Philadelphia to partner with Snider Youth Hockey, for the purpose of training high school athletes to play competitive ice hockey. Snider provides all equipment, training, ice time and support both on and off the ice to be successful in school, hockey and life. Made possible through the generosity of Ed Snider, the longtime owner of the Philadelphia Flyers and local philanthropist, this is a tremendous opportunity exclusive to Little Flower High School students. Girls involved in unique and non-traditional girls’ athletics, like ice hockey, attract attention from top colleges and universities. For a modest fee, Little Flower provides transportation to the Snider practice rinks after school.
For specific information, please contact Mrs. Jeane McNamara at [email protected] who will put you in touch with a Snider Hockey representative. Elementary and middle school students who participate in Snider Youth Hockey programs are eligible for the Breakaway Scholarship, which is a partnership between Snider and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for full tuition scholarships at any of the Archdiocesan high schools.
