One of the best assets to give to Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls comes from your retirement account. When passing your retirement account on to your heirs, it is subject to income taxes. When giving it to Little Flower and other charities it is free of any tax. Other assets passed on to heirs will be nearly tax free under the new tax code, but retirement accounts still have to pay income taxes, except when given to charitable organizations like Little Flower. You can divide your retirement account among heirs and Little Flower by designating percentages.
